The historic Antonelli San Marco winery—one of the most authoritative interpreters of Umbrian viticulture since 1883—expands its wine collection with three labels that showcase the multifaceted nature of Trebbiano Spoletino: the Trebbiano Spoletino Spumante Spoleto DOC 2021 Dosaggio Zero, the new vintage Trebium Trebbiano Spoletino Spoleto DOC 2024, and the latest release of Vigna Tonda Trebbiano Spoletino Spoleto DOC 2023.

Three complementary visions of one of Italy’s most fascinating native grape varieties, interpreted by the Montefalco-based winery with rigor, sensitivity, and stylistic coherence. All three wines are certified organic, the result of respectful agriculture and a gravity-fed winemaking process that avoids mechanical pumping.

Trebbiano Spoletino Spumante Spoleto DOC 2021 Dosaggio Zero

An expression of great precision and purity, this wine is crafted from rigorously selected, 100% Trebbiano Spoletino grapes and vinified using the traditional method. Aged for approximately 3 years on the lees, this maturation adds complexity and finesse to the bubbles. The zero dosage enhances the grape’s natural purity, delivering an elegant perlage, sharp freshness, refined mineral notes, and a harmonious evolution on the palate. A gastronomic and identity-driven sparkling wine, it is poised to rank among the most compelling méthode traditionnelle wines in Central Italy.

Trebium Trebbiano Spoletino Spoleto DOC 2024

The 2024 vintage reaffirms Trebium as a contemporary benchmark for Trebbiano Spoletino. A still white wine that combines citrus freshness, saline tension, and aromatic breadth in a dynamic and refined balance. A wine that speaks of territory, biodiversity, and a stylistic identity built over time with consistency and depth.

Vigna Tonda Trebbiano Spoletino Spoleto DOC 2023

Vigna Tonda is a historic cru whose grapes come from a circular vineyard already featured in the estate’s first map dated 1902. Recently replanted in its original round shape, this vineyard gives life to a wine made through spontaneous fermentation with skin contact in terracotta and ceramic amphorae, without temperature control. The result is a wine of unique complexity, depth, and structure. Made from 100% Trebbiano Spoletino using massal selection from old vines once trained on maple trees, the Vigna Tonda 2023 fully expresses the hillside terroir at 350 meters above sea level, with western exposure and Guyot training system. The harvest is strictly manual and takes place in mid-October, ensuring elegance and a strong sense of identity.

All three wines originate from organically farmed vineyards located in the heart of the Montefalco area, where Antonelli San Marco practices precision viticulture on soils rich in history and biodiversity. Trebbiano Spoletino—revived and promoted with foresight—finds here some of its clearest, most territorial, and original expressions, blending tradition, research, and a contemporary vision.
